Build Contest Event Recap!
What do you get when hyper builders and a new Rec Room contest collide? A chaotic, cozy watch party by Club Sandwich.
What do you get when you mix a bunch of hyper builders, digital popcorn, and a juicy new Rec Room build contest? That’s right— a chaotic, cozy, and mildly unhinged watch party hosted by Club Sandwich.
This past weekend, we gathered the team and the community to kick off the launch of the latest official Rec Room build contest with a proper celebration—because let’s be honest, there’s no better way to find out you have exactly three brain cells left to make a full room in five weeks than by watching an announcement video with friends.
📺 The Main Event
The party was centered around the big announcement video—projected in full glory inside our custom event room. We cheered, we speculated, we paused at 0.3x speed trying to find hidden Easter eggs (there weren’t any, but we pretended anyway).
Whether you were there for the actual contest info or just vibing with your Sandwich and VR headset, this event had something for everyone.

Hosting events like this isn’t just about watching videos—it’s about building community, inspiring each other, and screaming “WE GOT THIS” into the void while silently questioning if we, in fact, got this.
We love giving builders a space to connect, laugh, and get hyped before the competition heat kicks in. Whether you're a first-time Circuiteer or a master of the Maker Pen, you're always welcome at the table.
